Golden Isles Fiberarts Guild will present its Biannual Exhibition “Women and Threads” February 3 through March 3, 2017 at the SoGlo Gallery in Historic Downtown Brunswick on Newcastle Street. Gallery hours are Wednesday thru Friday 11-5:30 and Saturday 11 – 4:00 pm.

The opening reception is Friday, February 3, 2017 hours are 5:00 – 8:00pm

On Friday, only there will be a Fashion Show scheduled at 6:30 featuring “one of a kind” garments modeled and made by members in the talented Garment Group.

This exhibit is a tradition of the Guild since 1987. Featured pieces include applique, beading, weaving, embroidery, rug hooking, quilts, and garment designs.

Demonstrations will be on-going during this opening event. Raffle tickets for a lovely Knitted Throw are being sold at $2.00 per ticket or 3 at $5.00. Ticket are available at SoGlo Gallery and The Stitchery on St. Simons. Drawing for the coverlet designed by member Terry Morris and knitted by the guild knitters will take place on March 3, at 7:30. This is another fun “First Friday” event . Come in and see your local talent.

The SoGlo Gallery director, Lynda is hosting this exhibit.

For sale items will be on display throughout the exhibition. The mission of the Golden Isles Fiberarts Guild is to educate members and community and to promote and provide resources and educational opportunities.
