Public and environmental issues involving Coastal Georgia, such as coal ash, were the topics of the GFWC Brunswick Woman’s Club March meeting. Featured guest speaker, Kelly Patton, One Hundred Miles membership and outreach coordinator, spoke to members about the potential hazards facing Georgia and the coastal area in particular. She mentioned the leader of her organization was in Atlanta regarding several house bills before the General Assembly. Kelly also shared with the group other initiatives, one of which is protecting wildlife. They also have a book club, field trips, etc.
