The deadline for submissions for the Young Poet Award sponsored by The Eugenia Price/Joyce Blackburn Foundation in association with Golden Isles Arts & Humanities is Feb. 24. This award is to encourage and recognize the literary talents of all public and private high school students in Glynn County.

The 2017 theme is “Choices.” Students may submit up to three poems. Entries will be blind-judged by a panel of poets, writers, and educators basing scores on originality, creativity, content and style. Four winners will be selected, one representing each grade level. The winners will receive $250 and will be published locally.
