Public meetings this week include those rescheduled from Matthew

Some public meetings that were canceled due to Hurricane Matthew and subsequent recovery efforts have been rescheduled for this week, on top of meetings that were already set to take place.

The Glynn County Board of Elections meeting was rescheduled to today at 1:30 p.m. It will take place in the board’s meeting room at 1815 Gloucester St. in Brunswick.

The Brunswick City Commission will hold their regular meeting at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 19, in the Old Brunswick City Hall, 1229 Newcastle St.

The Islands Planning Commission will meet at 9 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 20, in room 108 of the Casino on St. Simons Island. The Brunswick Glynn Joint Water and Sewer Commission’s finance committee will meet the same day at 10 a.m. in the JWSC commission’s meeting chambers at 1703 Gloucester St. The JWSC commission itself will meet at 2 p.m., also on Oct. 20 in the JWSC meeting chambers.

The Glynn County Commission will also meet Thursday, Oct. 20, at 6 p.m. in the Old Glynn County Courthouse, 701 G St. in Brunswick. The commission had to cancel their Oct. 6 meeting because of the hurricane, and instead of rescheduling it has combined the agenda from that meeting with the upcoming meeting’s agenda.
