James K.D. Dozier, 84, of Odum, passed away Dec. 31, 2016, at his residence.
Jim was born July 5, 1932, in Brunswick, to T.C. and Inez Harrison Dozier. He attended Glynn County schools, and served with the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.
He lived most of his life in Brunswick, working at Hercules until his retirement after 32 years of employment. After retirement, he moved to Odum.
Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Mary E. Dozier, of Odum; three children, Judith A. Tooke (Jerry), Ronald D. Dozier, all of Brunswick, and Barbara E. Dozier of Nahunta; four grandchildren, Christopher Wooten (Amy), Stephen Wooten, Melissa Beckham (David) and Alicia Wooten (Zac Dean); eight great-grandchildren; two sisters; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
A private service was held at his residence.
Chapman Funeral Chapel and Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.
