Jeffrey Wayne McQuaig, 61, of Brunswick, passed away Sunday at his residence.
A private service to celebrate his life will be held at a later date.
Jeff was born Nov. 10, 1955, in Hampton, Va., to Randall M. and Joyce Perry McQuaig. He was a graduate of the University of Georgia, where he played with the rugby team. He was currently enrolled in nursing school in Jacksonville, and enjoyed photography. Jeff was once the co-owner of The Brick, a historical well-known restaurant in Charleston, S.C.
Jeff is survived by his mother, Joyce McQuaig of Brunswick; two sisters, Debbie McQuaig of Nashville, Tenn., and Linda M. Zangla of Brunswick; a nephew, Joseph M. Zangla; and many cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends.
Jeff was preceded in death by his father, Maj. Randall M. McQuaig; and a brother, Michael Alan McQuaig.
