Lynna Crosby, 75, of Brunswick, passed away Sept. 10, 2016, in Colquitt, Ga., after a brief illness.

A gathering to celebrate Lynna’s life will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 22, 2016, at Confederate Station, 6045 Golden Isles Parkway, Brunswick.

Lynna was born Jan. 22, 1941, in Baxley to Roscoe and Luna Woodard Crosby. He was a 1959 graduate of Appling County High School, and served in the Signal Corps of the United States Army from 1961 until 1966. He worked for Standard Distributing, and later joined Babcock and Wilcox, traveling the United States as a boilermaker. He was an avid sportsman, enjoying hunting and fishing.

Survivors include a son, Scott Davis (Wendy), of St. Simons Island; a sister, Fannie Mae Owens of Brunswick; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Lynna was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara S. Crosby; a daughter, Robin Fender; a grandson, Jeremy Fender; and a sister, Ruby Crosby Overstreet.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are requested to the Glynn County Volunteer Fire Department.
