Neil Garner Eubanks, 29, died Thursday, Nov. 24, 2016. Neil grew up in Camden County and most recently lived in Brunswick and Gainesville, Ga., and Jacksonville, Fla. He attended Brunswick High and Camden County High and was a graduate of Tulsa Welding School.

He worked as a freelance welder and also used his creativity to create yard art. Neil was a “manly” man. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, hiking and camping. He loved being outdoors and appreciated the beauty of nature. He was the life of the party, the class clown, the people pleaser. He was a fun loving, well liked guy with a big, tender heart. He preferred hugs over handshakes and lived to make people happy. Not one to pass judgment, Neil saw the best in everyone and often made light of situations by using humor. He was an awesome, creative cook and will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his wife, Katherine Jamie Rhodes Eubanks and their son, Mason Garner Eubanks of Jacksonville; his mother, Bridgette Garner Buie (Dale) of Waverly; his father, Kenneth Eubanks of Kentucky; two sisters, Audrey Nicole Eubanks and her daughter, Alyssa Rainie Elliott of Brunswick and Kalee Ann Eubanks and her daughter, Rylee Ann Del Rosario of Richmond Hill; an aunt, Shelia Garner James of Brunswick; an uncle, Kenny Garner (Penny) of Brunswick; six cousins, Holly James Morales of Jonesboro, Ga., Mark Charles James of Brunswick, Melissa Ann Munton of St. Marys, Jason Kenneth Garner of St. Marys, Amy Ruth DeMarco of Statesboro and Joseph Kenneth Garner of Brunswick; mother and father-in-law, Frank Brown Rhodes and Sandy Lee Rhodes of Gainesville, Ga.; two brothers in-law, Justin Thomas Rhodes (Lisa) of Decatur, Ga., and Andrew Callahan Rhodes of Atlanta. Many extended family and friends also survive.
