On Saturday August 29, 2009 eight people were killed and a 3-year-old was seriously injured in a trailer at New Hope Plantation Mobile Home Park.

Police later arrested Guy Heinze Jr. who was later indicted on eight counts of murder and one count of attempted murder.

Heinze was convicted on October 25, 2013 and subsequently sentenced to life in prison.

This is a collection of stories following the news surrounding the discovery of the murders, the arrest of Heinze and his eventual conviction.
