The Lady Knights’ soccer season came to an end on what head coach Alex Flores called an “unlucky” goal from Augusta Prep with 13 minutes left in the quarterfinals game in Augusta.

Lucy Worth scored and equalizer four minutes into the second half, but the late goal resulted in a 2-1 loss for Frederica.

Flores said the Knights were on the defensive for most of the game, and relied on counter attacks for their scoring opportunities.

“We knew it would be our toughest test all season, and I was extremely proud of the way we preformed,” Flores said. “Despite the loss, it was our best defensive effort all season.”
